The Eternal Return
2012
Wood, speakers, record player, record, amplifier
155 x 80 x 50cm This experience of the stopped moment, takes a new vision now, as a way of eternal return, through the image of the rope suppor- ting itself and rotating over the space, accentuated by the repeated sound of this movement, as in a broken record, sounding from an installation with the innocent look of a stereo turntable. The artist deliberately sets this stereo over a exhibition display as an explicit allusion to Haim Steinbach, the father of contemporary appropriationism
